Dan Williams is an American independent musician, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose work blends elements of jazz, blues, rock, folk, and alternative music. He released the album Are You Prey? in 2020, featuring tracks such as “Eucalyptus,” “Safe Harbor,” and “Prey.”

Williams has cited influential artists including Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Michael Brecker as inspirations for his improvisational style. According to a profile published in Colorado’s The Mountain-Ear, he spent years performing in various bands and balancing music with running a solar company before returning fully to songwriting and live performance after moving to Colorado in 2016.

Since releasing Are You Prey?, Williams has continued creating music independently, issuing later albums including Still Learnin’, Truth from Lies, and Playin 4 Fun.
