lyrics

When did you learn
By Dan Williams

Guest: Sarah Banker – lead vocals

When did u
learn the way
I find its
Different
today
Do you feel
The Distant lives
From the past
R U
beating in time
With
All living things
Can you feel
Your way
And find it
soothing
(for)
the soul

Don’t let
your ambition
Get in the way
Your on mission
You only have
today

Can you sing
With the rest us
Even though
You are
Different

Your on mission
you found
how to change
When did u
learn the way
I find its
Different
today
Do you feel
The Distant lives
From long ago
R U
beating in time
With
All living things
If you
Can you feel
Your way
I find it
soothing
the soul

Think about

Notes:
Just having the use of my left index finger back after hitting it with a 5lb sludge hammer that
ricochet’d off my digger when trying to loosen a stuck stump.
I can be dumb sometimes. I was humbled by this experience. Everything and anything can be
gone in an instant.
I wrote this song as a tribute to all who work in the health care industry, who took care of me and
everybody day in and day out. Thank you, I still have many years of playing ahead of me,
because of you. 🙂
– dan

Think about
all the people
Think about
all the people
I think about
all the people
I think about
all the people
Have you had
An accident
in your life
Have you had
An accident
in your life
They are the ones
who cared enough
to save your life
Think about
how to
repay that
I think about

Talking to thin air
By Dan Williams

Guest: Ben Melius – electric guitar

Got a hard day ahead
gotta go 400’ down
a hard road

When is enough enough
Try again
Is this day
the same as the last

They don’t think I learned enough
Gotta repeat
this class

When you can’t
Help yourself
Try again
In this day where no one listens
Why does it seem
That everywhere in between
That Even the AI
is lying
Just to you
To the powers
that are in control
are you thinning

the herd again
When you can’t
help yourself
try again
In this day where no one listens
Why does it seem
That everywhere in between
That Even the AI
is lying
Just to you

Silly things
By Dan Williams
©2023

I heard
about the word

ending
tomorrow
My
Sorrow
Don’t Fight
about
The
Silly things
We all thought
we could live
like
Kings
Never (N’aire)
The morrow
Only
Todays
Latest
bling
I wish we
thought
More about
Being Kind
No trust
You’re bust
No truth

Leading the
Blind

And that
is the
Reason
This (life’s)
lesson
Will Be forgiven
Now wrap
Your head
Around
Your
time

This
analogy
Is quite
contrary
to
The very (wary)
Way of
Human Beings
But sometimes
Change can bring
Out the beautiful
In all things
I’m so sorry
it had to
End
like this

I fell short

Of doing
The very
merry
things
We all thought
we could live
like
Kings
N’eaire
The morrow
Only
Todays
Silly
Things

First Life

Guest: Jon Ridnell – electric guitar

Note: Song about never getting to meet my brother Bobbie who died before I was born

I’m sorry
we never got
to meet
I’m sorry
we never got
to meet
in the first life
I’m sorry
we never got
to meet
I want to
know what you feel
I want to
know what you want
I want to
know what you see
Will you tell me
Will you tell me
What I see
Is you
What I want
is to feel
the sun
what
do you want
to feel?
What
do you want
to see?
how do you feel
With what you know?
Please
Please Reply
Please———— Reply
Oh Please——- Reply

Hey I’m sorry
we never got
to meet
in the first life
Hey I’m sorry
we never got
to meet

All I’ve seen

Every body should know
Its hard to please
everyone
I know

You can be anybody you please
You want
Everybody to know
We were all
Just
Born free
And The question
Is stil Remains
how do we frame it
How do we. – tame it
Free will

Enter your conscience
Has it been a judgement call
To listen all along
Every body should know
Its hard to please
everyone
I know

You can be anybody you please
You want
Everybody to know
We were all
Just
Born free

Are you
Caught you between
A godspel
And your
free will

What is hidden
Behind the death trap
Of bling
Is just plain mean
And The question
Is stil Remains
how do we frame it
— tame it
Free will

Every body should know
Its hard to please
everyone
I know

You can be anybody you please
You want
Everybody to know
We were all
Just
Born free

And The question

Is stil Remains
how do we frame it
– tame it
Free will

Enter your conscience
Has it been a judgement call
To listen all along
Every body should know
Its hard to please
everyone
I know

You can be anybody you please
You want
Everybody to know
We were all
Just

Playing for fun

Guests:
Eric Stone – lead vocals, acoustic guitar
Sarah Banker – backup vocals
Jon Ridnell – electric guitar

Gonna get
as far down the road
as we can

Just playin
Now for fun

Here’s a lick
for a tip
Gonna get
caught up
In our fun

Now that we’re not
under anyone’s
Thumb

Reaching way down
I can feel the bottom
I can see it just fine
from here

Been digging that hole
My whole life
Digging it deeper
Since,
. . I left you

– electric guitar lick
Here’s a lick
for a tip
Gonna get
caught up
In our fun

Now that we’re not
under anyone’s
Thumb

The better we play
The better
we
. . . . get paid
We’re all just
Working ourselves stiff
. for that
, , , common meal
Here’s a lick
for a tip
Gonna get
caught up
In our fun

Now that we’re
Just playin
For fun

Gonna
get
as far down

the road
As this five dollar
. . guitar (piano)
can do

The less stress you hear
The better we feel
So drink your beer
. . . And we’ll play for real
What have you
got left
In your glass?
This is your last chance
To get a refill
. . Before we jam for real
Gonna
get
as far down
That road
As this five dollar
guitar
can do

can do

Here’s a lick
for a tip
Gonna
get caught up
In our fun

Now that we’re not
under anyone’s
Thumb

Here’s a lick
for a tip
Gonna
get caught up
In our fun

Now that we’re not
under anyone’s thumb
Here’s a lick
for a tip
Gonna
get caught up
In our fun

Now that we’re
Just playin
For fun

Will you
come on home
How you get there
Doesn’t matter
Does it really matter?
How we all get there
As long
As you come home
When when we
come on home
That will
Be a holiday
How we all get there
Doesn’t matter
As long
As we all get home

If this year
Is much
The like last

I’m gonna
lay some bricks
gonna work
Extra hard
don’t wanna
re-live the past
I was hoping
We could
Keep this music
goin’
I am
feeling
a little bit off

because this
model
of me

forgot
how it
was to sing
Still hoping
We could
keep this

Music
going
This year
Won’t
Be like
The last

I know
This year
Won’t
Be like the last

I’m
Laying
Down
new work

Looking
Forward
Not
The past
gonna work
Extra hard
Gettin
The music right
I’m Playin
forward
Lighting fast
I was hoping
We could
Keep this music
goin’

This year
Be better
than the last

Don’t need much

Guests:
Eric Stone – acoustic guitar, backup vocals
Sarah Banker – backup vocals
Jon Ridnell – electric guitar
Philip Chappell – Bass Guitar

why does
everything
Now
seem
harder
To me

am I older
Am I wiser
Am I anyone
you’d
want to be

Where you at
When you thirst
to laugh

don’t need much.
But I still

do need

– bass lick
– add piano

don’t need much
But I still
do need

Just a little love
Just a little love
Is all I need

Just a little love
Just a little love
Just a little love
Is all I need

Just a little love
Just a little love
Is all I need

Just a little love
Just a little love
Cmon
Give us what we need

Just a little love.
Just a little love
Cmon
Give us what we need
